“A Dynamic Woman is a multifaceted individual who thrives on growth, impact and connection,” says Christina Greene McAllen. A jewelry designer, small business owner and now the youngest female member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) Board of Directors, McAllen lives out this definition to a tee. Citybook Houston recently recognized this Dynamic Woman in its Cool 100 List.

The greatest professional pivot McAllen made was embracing e-commerce in lieu of traditional retail. Historically, HLSR was her eponymous jewelry brand’s top-grossing time of the year until 2020’s international shutdowns, in which McAllen captured new and existing customers on social media. Today, her thriving online boutique accounts for over 60% of Christina Greene’s sales.

Inspired by her mother, Monica Greene, and female designers like Tory Burch, this Dynamic Woman leads with compassion, works relentlessly and continuously perfects her craft. She encourages the next generation of female leaders to “Set clear parameters from the get-go to ensure you and your company’s objectives are exceeded. Sometimes saying ‘no’ is necessary, and that’s OK.”

A Houston native, McAllen credits much of her success to the city she loves. “My hometown has always been my soft place to land thanks to the love from family and friends–especially as I embarked on my journey as a business owner,” says this Dynamic Woman. “From the melting pot of cultures to the timeless Texan traditions, Houston is truly one-of-a-kind.” She remains an avid volunteer and fundraiser for a myriad of Greater Houston Area nonprofits., including Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market and Dress for Success and mentoring with Amigas Para Ninos.

Outside of her entrepreneurial endeavors, McAllen enjoys quality time with her husband, David, their daughter, Marie and their two dogs at home or the family ranch outside San Antonio.
